The Reliability Package is a proprietary set of modifications developed by Specialized Armament for the Colt AR-15 carbine. Rifles utilizing our Reliability Package have been tested worldwide from 1995 to present. We receive constant inquiries as to exactly what modifications are made that create this unique package. The modifications include the following:

Each modification is small on its own, but when grouped together, they will enhance the reliability and improve the overall function of your world class, combat proven Colt carbine. No specific Technical Data will be released regarding our Colt AR-15 Reliability Package.

Q: Which Colt rifle models can be upgraded with the Reliability Package?
A: All Colt carbines from 1992 to present. Older Colt Carbines, 1960-1991, can also be upgraded but require modification before the Reliability Package work can be performed.

Q: Is the Reliability Package limited to semi-automatic rifles?
A: No. The Reliability Package can be performed on all fire control systems including Auto, Burst and 4-Way.

Q: Can the Reliability Package be performed on Colt 9mm SMG’s and Carbines?
A: No. These blow-back operated weapons are a completely different design and require a different set of upgrades.

Q: Can the Reliability Package be performed on Colt Rifles?
A: No. These full sized rifles require a different set of upgrades.

Q: Can the Reliability Package upgrades be performed on my Non-Colt “AR” style carbine?
A: No. The lack of consistency in production and the use of parts that are not military grade make these “AR” platforms substantially different. Yes, we tried it and the results did not live up to our high standards of quality and performance.

A: No. It is not available from any other source regardless of what is claimed.
The Specialized Armament Reliability Package has been performed on hundreds of Colt Carbines and these weapons rarely malfunction. Most malfunctions can be traced to poor quality ammunition or a magazine failure. The quality and reliability is impressive! Ask around…
